The “Month of Georgian Cuisine” took place from 6 to 25 May at the Tidbloms gastropub in Gotterborg, which is the second largest city in Sweden. Temuri Nikanova, the chef of the cafe "Stumari" from Sumy, led of the event.
Harald Sjostrom, Director of the international direction F&B Reikartz Hotel Group, spoke how it went: “The preparation began in early March. Temur and I selected 7 of the best wines of Schuchmann winery and made up the traditional Georgian menu: khinkali, khachapuri, phali, eggplants and 4 classic meat dishes. After the launch of the “Month of Georgian cuisine” in Tidbloms, we noticed that the number of guests increased every day. Last week there were 132 online bookings and 128 phone bookings. This is more than ever before. Guests liked Georgian cuisine, some even asked to thank the chef personally. A question that especially worried everyone: would we do something similar again? When? This month has shown us that there is a demand for Georgian cuisine not only in Ukraine. The company plans to rebrand the Tidbloms restaurant and launch the first Stumari cafe outside Ukraine in September of this year."
