The contest "Chernihiv Tourist: Choice of the Year - 2019" continued throughout the year. The event was initiated and organized by the Department of Culture and Tourism, Nationalities and Religions of Chernihiv Regional State Administration.
Hotel Reikartz Chernihiv also decided to participate and won a victory in the nomination "Accommodation Facility".

Please tell us about your hotel. How did you impress the jury of the competition for winning?
Reikartz Chernihiv hotel is located in the heart of the historic and business center of the city. The hotel has 66 rooms of different categories, including 2 two-room suites, and can accommodate 142 guests at a time. There are also 2 conference halls for 65 and 85 seats, a restaurant serving Ukrainian and European cuisine, a Czech-German pub called "Život A Pivo" and Scandinavian Cafe Fika.
This competition was held in our area for the second time, but our hotel "Reikartz Chernihiv" participated for the first time and immediately received the main award in the nomination "Accommodation facility".
The participants were evaluated by the expert council, which included 9 experts from different directions of the tourist industry of the region. It is the expert council that determines the winners by many indicators during the year (September 2018 to September 2019), namely: number of guests per year, occupancy, dynamics compared to last year, participation in events and mass events held in the hotel, qualitative changes during the year, conducting promotional campaigns and taking into account the points received during the online voting.
We have good enough indicators in all points, because this year we have made a lot of improvements: most importantly - the reconstruction of the 5th floor of the hotel was completed and 17 more rooms were opened - the hotel numbers were increased from 49 to 66 rooms, Improvement work was done, courtyard renovation, increased parking space from 15 to 30. And the result is an increase in the number of guests, occupancy of the hotel, positive growth dynamics and more.
Considering all the indicators, as well as taking into account the points obtained during the Internet voting the Council unanimously cast its votes in our favor!
What is the value of such an award for you?
I am very proud that the expert council has selected our hotel among many worthy participants. This award appreciates the contribution of all the people who are involved in it, and it is the whole staff of our great company: all the top management, all the departments of the management company, all the staff of our hotel, who try to give our guests the highest quality service, to which I am immensely grateful! Also, I thank our guests and all those who care about proceeding their votes online for our hotel: you valuing us - the highest award for us!

The heart of our activity is the Guest - everything we do is to ensure that our guest receives the highest quality service. And I am very grateful to the organizers for holding this competition, because it encourages us to develop, to become better, so that everyone stays in the win: more satisfied guests, tourists, who will receive the best European level service in our country, come to our glorious city!
